Inside the foyer

Come behind the famous columns of 101 Collins Street and into our foyer, designed by New York architect, John Burgee.

Four still water pools lend an air of tranquillity; two feature 23-carat gold
leaf backdrops.

'Australia' sculptures by Victoria Nelson
(Phillip Island, Victoria), modelled in
clay and cast twice in bronze uses
great height (seven meters) and classic
lines to depict intertwined human forms.

Floors feature red and cream Italian
marble and Zimbabwean black granite.

'Figures in Procession' by
Melbourne-based sculptor Bart
Sanciolo floats atop the
west still pool, framed by marble
edged windows and garden.

The unique pattern in the centre of the foyer floor (known as the 'bullseye') is the location of many foyer exhibitions at 101 Collins Street and the annual Anglicare Christmas giving tree.

Superbly renovated in 2010 the core foyer walls feature Italian Navona travertine.  Candescent Moon by Marion Borgelt represents change in many forms.

A stock exchange board communicates regular updates on market movements.

Peaceful garden areas provide a lush view for foyer visitors and stunning backdrops for sculpture. The East Garden is home to 'Babylon' by local artist Simon Rigg.
