Thank you from the Anglicare children
Anglicare and the families and children that they support have passed on their thanks to 101 Collins Street and our generous tenants for the continued support of the Toy and Food Appeal.
Over 5,000 donations of toys and food hampers were distributed to children and families for Christmas 2011.
The Giving Tree in our foyer during December was well supported with donations from our tenants. Each year the need for support from Anglicare grows. Donations to the Giving Tree are critical in meeting the growing demand.
Anglicare was particularly pleased with the donations for teenage children. "Donations of toys are often appropriate for babies and small children and it is the adolescents that miss out. In 2011 however we put the call out to people to think beyond just the little kids and were thrilled to receive such a wide range of toys appropriate for all of the children and young people who we work with."
